The purpose of current investigation was to explore the scope integrating an anaerobic digester in a decentralized municipal wastewater treatment plant for in-situ household waste. present work intends identify potential sewage sludge and food waste biogas generation. study conducted lab scale continuous stirred tank reactor having working volume 6.5 L at mesophilic temperature. paper mill used as inoculum stabilised using substrate initial 50 days batch mode. Co-digestion (FW) bio-flocculated (BFS) performed feeding maintaining OLR 2.5 gVSL?1D?1at HRT 4 120 days. 2% FW 98% BFS (by volume) feeded throughout experimental duration. highest VFA accumulation 1902 mg L?1 were observed maximum bio-methane yield found be 127.05 mLCH4 g?1 VSadded. pH with ratio stable during operation without adding external alkalinity source.
